Introduction

February 1995, G.A.P. Services was incorporated in Kuching, Sarawak Malaysia under the Companies Name Ordinance (CAP.64) as a Partnership Company and in year 2006 formed an association with P.T. Argra Resources, Indonesia to expand the Company’s operations throughout Kalimantan, Borneo. Then in 2008 April , Gap International Venture Sdn Bhd was incorporated in Kuching, Sarawak Malaysia under the Companies Commission of Malaysia as a Private Limited Company taking over the entire Coal and Mineral Mining businesses of G.A.P. Services. Henceforth, G.A.P. Services is now Gap International Ventures Sdn. Bhd.

Gap International Ventures Sdn Bhd (GIVSB) core business is in Mineral Mining, Logistic provider and Commodity Supply.

Gap International Ventures Sdn Bhd (GIVSB) is primarily involved in coal mining and mineral supply business. It operates mines in Kalimantan Island of Indonesia and some part of East Malaysia – Kapit Division. The operations involved open pit mining and exploration for coal and related minerals such as bauxite, iron ore and manganese apart from silica.

Where GIVSB does not own or operates such mine, it will trade such commodity as trader – but with authority from owner or as Marketing arm for established mines.

Some of the mines GIVSB sourced these commodity especially coal are from Banjarmasin and Batu Licin in South Kalimantan, Balikpapan and Samarinda in East Kalimantan and part of Central Kalimantan apart from Kapit in East Malaysia.

Gap International Ventures Sdn Bhd (GIVSB) has recently entered into five (5) Coal Mining Contract Agreements with an Indonesia Licensees in South and East Kalimantan. Through its subsidiary companies in Indonesia i.e P.T. Agra Resources, P.T. Baronida Sehati Sintang and P.T. Tiga Serangkai Mulia (TSM) it also owns an area of more than 10,000 Hectares with Coal Reserve of approximately 160 million tons. Other areas in South & East Kalimantan, Indonesia are operated on joint venture or contract mining.

For the logistic, GAP has been involved in the chartering of various type chemical tankers and bulk cargoes. Ranging from Handy max to Panamax size vessel (for bulk cargoes) and 5,000 – 20,000 DWT chemical tankers. With in depth knowledge of the shipping business and various types of cargoes, information on supply and demand, GAP is in a position to provide vessel such as tugs and barges and offshore support apart from bulk cargoes and chemical tankers.

GIVSB acts as agent / brokers as well as disponent owner.

It also operates barging services for the transportation of its Mineral resources within Malaysia and Indonesia including chartering of Chemical Tankers for carriage of Palm Oil related products and petro chemicals.
