PSTT07 Matang Wildlife Centre

The Matang Wildlife Centre is about 35KM from Kuching. Located is Kubah National Park, this large enclosed of rainforest is home to some endangered wildlife. Matang Wildlife Centre covers 179 hectares of lowland rainforest with animals in varying stages of rehabilitations. The highlight of the trip is the Orang Utan training programme where young orang utans are being taught or retrained to survive in the wild. These Orang Utans are either orphaned or rescued from captivity. Besides these adorable primates, there is also Borneon Clouded Leopard, Borneon Gibbon, Leopard Cat, Sun Bears, Sambar Deer, Bear Cat and other animals.

马当野生动物保护中心是库巴国家公园的一部分。它将濒危的野生动物收养在封闭但旷阔的热带雨林或宽敞的笼子里。保护中心的焦点在于红毛猩猩的培训计划，训练年轻的孤儿或被俘救出的猩猩，训练它们如何在野生的大自然环境存活下来。观看红毛猩猩的最佳时间乃是喂养时间（看下文）。就如红毛猩猩，该中心也设立宽敞的地方收养鹿、鳄鱼、马来熊、果子狸、熊样猫，以及三个大型观鸟园，展示犀鸟、老鹰、鸢、鹳鹤及其它砂拉越本土的鸟。

从咨询中心出发走过4条丛林道即可发现河滨的野餐聚点。猪笼草道的路径围绕着森林的圆道，大约2小时的路程，游客很容易就认得路边许多不同形状的猪笼草。拉优道通向库巴国家公园总部，大约3-4小时。双溪布鲁道通向两座与世隔绝的瀑布，单程耗2小时。
